Year in Review: 2023 at TASS

It’s been another big year for Tass Construction Group! In 2023, we achieved some major internal goals, refined our systems and processes and built some exceptional custom homes across Sydney. We are also proud to have received multiple industry awards, collaborated with amazing clients and architects, and contributed to the next generation of tradespeople.

Before we send our team off on a well-deserved Christmas break, we wanted to reflect on our top accomplishments from the past 12 months. Read on to take a walk back through 2023 with us.

Our Favourite Projects

This year we had the pleasure of collaborating with some of Sydney's top architects to bring their visions to life. In Connells Point, we constructed a luxury new home, designed by the expert team at Daniel Siric Architecture. In Marrickville, we undertook a bespoke renovation project crafted by Sandbox Studios, and in Cronulla we successfully completed a Class 2 project designed by Ironbark Architecture… just to name a few!

A special shoutout to all our clients and architects in which we handed over projects to this year!

Under our architecture service, we brought a number of our own designs to life with a handful of large scale restoration and extensions in the Eastern Suburbs & Inner West.

As always, one of our highlights from this year was working with such an amazing group of clients from all over Sydney. We feel honoured to have been entrusted with the task of turning their dreams into reality, and we can't wait to do it all again in 2024.

We have a number of architectural projects currently in the works – make sure you’re following us on Instagram for a sneak peek of our current builds in Mosman, Vaucluse and Balgowlah.

Industry Recognition

It was a great honour to have our Scarborough project awarded Custom Built Home of the Year ($1.2million – $1.5 million) at the NSW Housing Awards in October. We are so proud of our team’s work on this extraordinary two-storey family home, which offers breathtaking 180-degree ocean views and features a spacious outdoor courtyard. We were also thrilled to walk away with Best Renovation ($400,000 – $800,000) and Best Renovated Bathroom (up to $25,000) at this event, as well as being named a finalist in three other major categories.

Our team was also presented with Host Employer of the Year (Youth Partnership) and Partners in Excellence Winner in Construction awards in 2023, which demonstrates our commitment to the younger generation of trades entering the workforce. Since joining the Work Placement Program, we have provided work experience opportunities for more than 200 students, including women who are interested in a career in construction.

In June, we were also announced as a finalist in the trade category at our local business awards. All of the above accolades are a huge accomplishment for Tass Construction Group, and a testament to our team’s unwavering dedication and expert craftsmanship.

The Tass Team

The Tass Construction Group team continues to grow to develop. In early 2023, we hired our new design manager to assist with the growing demand for our architecture services. We also created and refined a number of internal systems and processes to make the design and construction journey seamless for both our clients and partnering architects.

With these new systems in place, and thanks to the hard work of our team, we were able to complete our Summer Hill project well ahead of schedule. This addition and internal renovation was finished in less than 75 working days – a new record for our team!

Looking Forward: What’s On For 2024

We are so proud of our team and what we have achieved together over the past 12 months. With some incredibly exciting contracts already in the works, it’s set to be another massive year for Tass Construction Group. We can’t wait to share all the progress with you!
